What is
Therapeutic Touch?
Therapeutic Touch is an evidence-based natural healing modality founded on the premise that the body, mind and emotions form a dynamic energy field, which includes and extends beyond the physical body. A Therapeutic Touch practitioner promotes wellbeing by helping to restore balance to your field, using their hands to focus universal energy with intention and compassion.
What are
its uses?
Therapeutic Touch can be used to support people experiencing the following conditions and the associated medical treatments: general relaxation and stress management, chronic fatigue, depression, bereavement, chronic pain, cancer, dementia and age related conditions, acute trauma, sleep disorders, pre and post-surgery, and as part of end of life care.
How can I learn Therapeutic Touch?
Start with the Foundations of Therapeutic Touch course. It is available online in weekly sessions over 4-6 weeks, or as a 2-3 day course in person. Courses are available to suit your needs, whether you wish to learn Therapeutic Touch for self-care, to help a loved one, become a volunteer, or for use in professional practice.
