TT Training, Ongoing Education and Professional Development
Therapeutic Touch training is available in a range of forms to meet your needs. All training is competency-based and accredited by TTAA in line with international standards set by the Therapeutic Touch International Association (TTIA).
Learning Therapeutic Touch can deepen your capacity to be mindful and in the present moment. Therapeutic Touch training develops you as a person and provides skills in promoting healing and balance in yourself and others.
Ongoing education provides practitioners of TT with opportunities to expand and update their practice. TTAA offers a strong community of practitioners who provide support and care for each other and work to serve their communities through the provision of TT. A professional development program is available for qualified practitioners and teachers
TT training and education is offered in person and also on-line around Australia and overseas. All listed courses are offered by TTAA accredited teachers. To find a teacher refer to the Contact page.

TT for Self-Care, Friends and Family
Complete our 4 week on-line or 2-day Foundations of Therapeutic Touch Basics course. You will learn the mindfulness-based process of centering and how to use the core processes of Therapeutic Touch to enhance your everyday life.
If you wish to develop your TT practice further for self, family and friends you can take all the courses in the TT education pathway through to advanced level as Ongoing Education. By completing the 3rd day of the Foundations of TT Course and related assessments you can transfer to the health and well-being professional pathway at any time.
TT for Health and Wellbeing Practice
Existing health care professionals can undertake our 6 week on line or 3-day Foundations of Therapeutic Touch Course for Professional Development and move into using TT in the clinical setting with Mentorship support. If you are starting out in health care practice or are a health professional who wants to become a QTTPA then upgrade to the Foundations of TT Professional Pathway Course.
Continue your personal and professional development in TT with our Mentorship course where you also build up resources to support you in professional practice. Our Transpersonal Nature of Therapeutic Touch course will prepare you for using TT with those who have more impaired health and deepen TT skills. Apply to be a Qualified Therapeutic Touch Practitioner Australia (QTTPA) on completion of the above courses and meeting TTAA’s QTTPA criteria.
TT Teacher Training
After practicing TT for 3-5 years and fulfilling education, training and personal and professional criteria set by TTAA, a practitioner can apply to become a Qualified Therapeutic Touch Teacher Australasia (QTTTA). A QTTTA L1 is an experienced Therapeutic Touch Teacher. A QTTTA L2 has qualified to teach TT and is receiving supervision and mentorship from a qualified level 1 Therapeutic Touch Teacher.

TT Professional Development
To ensure the safest and most effective service to our clients, Qualified TT Practitioners and Teachers are required to keep their knowledge and practice up to date. Professional activities such as courses, workshops, practice group sessions and retreats are allotted points that contribute to TTAA’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program. A specific number of points must be accrued annually for QTTPAs and QTTTAs to remained accredited.

TT Conferences and Retreats
The Therapeutic Touch Association of Australasia hosts regular TT Retreats and Conferences around Australia. International speakers often attend, sharing their wealth of TT knowledge and skills.

TT Practice Groups
Practice groups enable new and experienced TT practitioners to get together to practice TT, receive TT, share knowledge, ask questions, and receive feedback in a supportive environment. Practice groups usually start with a mediation. Some groups incorporate an education session or topic of interest, and some invite friends, family, or members of the public to receive a TT treatment.
